Magnifying mirror. When working outside, wind swept dust or mud from digging occasionally ends up in my eyes. Also space for future reference material I may need out and about, like handy formulas etc.
String, cable ties, safety pin, zip bags, twine
Small compass for deciding how to place things in relation to the sun. A sweet little working compass and thermometer is available as a cuff links pair.
Small LED torch for when I get caught out after dark
Retractable tape measure with cm and inches
Empty pockets
Glasses for close-up work
Blank to-do slips
My Precious - a sawn-off Pilot Birdie mechanical pencil in its little elder twig case
My other Precious - the new hipster, or chester, since its not worn on my hips. Also space for a business card size calculator.
Watch, stop-watch, alarm function, plus instructions how to set the darn thing.
Mini first aid kit and first aid instructions and info on blood group etc.
Add-on pouch with multi tool for bike etc.
Add-on pouch with light pruners - used on the way to my letter box to trim back brambles.
Binoculars
Bush knife, for the tougher knife jobs. You just can't beat carbon steel.
General purpose add-on tool pouch
Small pliers/multi tool
Stronger LED light. This one is a bit heavy to wear all the time, but is stronger than 4, but I don't like to take the chance of forgetting the pouch and be without light, so I have the other one as back-up.
Victorinox Explorer knife/multi tool with magnifying glass and tweezers for removing thorns and splinters, a frequent occurrence when battling with the brambles. Btw, the cork screw is great for securing the knife in a rotten log or such like to be able to use the magnifying glass and tweezers to remove thorns.
Small screwdriver for electrical work. The multi tool screwdriver is too wide to reach into confined spaces.
A very powerful telescopic magnet for picking up nails or pins to avoid punctures or sore feet (for me or my cat) or any ferrous tool which may have fallen behind a cupboard. Kept well away from anything sensitive to magnetism. It has a noticeable pull on the compass as far as 14" away!
