The current items are one-off creations, and will be sold to the highest bidder. There is a reserve price, so please be realistic. If the offer is well above the reserve, I may accept straight away, otherwise bidding will be open for about two weeks, after which time they will be going up for auction on ebay if unsold. You never know, I may be famous one day, and these works could be worth a fair bit, so hurry, here is your chance to get them for under a million or so. If you look at the rest of the site, you will see, of course, that I have the makings of a person who could become famous, even if I say so myself.

Self portrait 'Gemini

The painting was executed in oil on fine linen canvass, and painted in 1982. It is sold as seen, and needs to be mounted on a stretcher frame. It will be sent rolled on a cardboard core, and inside a cardboard tube for further protection. There is slight damage around the edge from storage in this condition, but it can be hidden inside a frame, or removed by reducing the ample edge.

Size: painted area 60 cm x 69 cm

Gold work embroidery 'Tree of Life'

The panel is executed in gold work on white cotton canvass. The pommegranet motif is based on the sumptuous 15th century brocades, and emulates with embroidery effects then achieved by weaving, such as the looped gold thread, and the spared areas were plucked to recess the embroidery. The outer leaves have silk satin inserts. The panel is mounted on a padded cardboard backing, and could be displayed in this form, or re-mounted in a frame or incorporated into a garment, such as a wedding dress or cloak.

Size: 36 cm diameter

Copy of Victorian cape

This cape is a near as exact copy of a Victorian cape made in good quality pure wool with brushed felt-like surface ('fulled') with a stylised floral appliqué motif on a shoulder cape. It was copied from an original by tracing the shape and also the pattern of the motif.
colour: black
condition: good, though only worn once, it is no longer in mint condition through storage, and there are a few tiny moth holes, just a couple or so millimeters across. There are about four near the collar, under the shoulder cape (not visible when worn), and on the edge of the hem allowance, at the back, also not readily visible, except when holding it up to the light and meticulously looking for it.
closure: hook and eye
length: 90 cm (35")
hem circumference: 3.9 meters (approx 12 feet) - nearly full circle

Antique Pleater

The label reads:

The Anglo-American Domestic Pleater
for making every description of side and box pleats
James Hammett
350 City Road
London

Directons
Tuck in the pleat with knife the desired width, keep in place with the holder, lay on the press board, turn over and press with hot iron, all goods put on pleater right side up.

All looks in good working order. The 'knife' seems to have been repaired, as it has a rough screw holding the metal plate to the wood, but judging by the wood and varnish, it appears to be original and matches the wooden holder and the box.The base frame has 39 grooves. The steel strips of the top frame have very slight surface rust marking, which can easily be rubbed off. In case of interest in original state, I have not attempted to renovate it, though it is in a fairly good condition, and would require little attention to make it a working tool again.

Size of box: 14" x 11 1/2" x 3"
base frame: 13" x 10"
